I just booked my flight home. I’ll be touching down in the UK on the 11th of July. Nashville in 15 days!
hahaha i make myself laugh. i’m really glad i was very drunk when i was walking home else i never would have shouted out to the bball players. i stood and talked to them for a few minutes and told them how much i’d loved watching them all play, and they quizzed me to make sure i actually go to the games (i passed the test). and then i was like ‘none of my friends will believe i actually met you guys if i don’t get a picture’ so they ask for my camera, but i didn’t have it on me. so i told them to take it…but e.j’s didn’t flash so i made garrett use his iphone but then i realised i wouldn’t actually have the picture…so then i made him email it to me hahaha. best drunken moments. they were very nice and obliging and friendly though.
Things I miss about England:
Cadbury’s chocolate, British talk shows like Graham Norton, British comedy, being able to talk to my mum whenever I want rather than having to always think about the time difference, Orlando, old houses and buildings, Radio 1, Topshop, people knowing where Leicester is, being able to text all my friends there, people dressing fashionably, being close to so many countries, people understanding everything I say, London.
Things I will miss about America:
Trucks on the roads, the price of Starbucks, country music on the radio, being able to text all my friends here, Netflix, free gym membership, Mexican fast food, mountains being an hours drive away, how laid-back people are about what they’re wearing…running shorts and a tshirt from their high school’s cross country race in 2007, it’s all good, my classes, how beautiful and green campus is, froyo, being able to go hiking whenever I want, Forever 21 and American Eagle, football and basketball games, school spirit, people asking me where I’m from (I complain about it now, but I know I’ll miss it!).
Back in Eugene and back to reality. Two more weeks of term, three more weeks including finals. I am not ready to leave.
literally actually hiked up a mountain. 1.8 miles, 2,800 feet elevation gain. 2,830 stairs. 4,100 at the summit. tonin’ them thighs, burning them calories, smellin’ that air, seein’ them mountains.
It’s been an up and down week, but it’s all good now and I’m leaving tonight for Portland and then tomorrow morning for Vancouver, B.C for the long weekend! We’re going to detour Seattle and drive up through the town the summer camp I worked at was and go visit on the way up!! Ahhhh, I’m so excited to see camp again <3 And for Vancouver and clubbing and exploring and hiking and getting out of town.
